Alison Campbell is the Music Director and Conductor of the Livingston Youth Orchestra. In addition to her position with the LYO she teaches ﬁfth through eight grade orchestra and second grade general music for Dexter Community Schools. This is her ﬁrst teaching position and third year in the district.
In May 2013, Alison received her Bachelors in Music Education degree from Michigan State University. During her time there, she taught early childhood music and beginning violin classes at the MSU Community Music School. She was also a long-term substitute orchestra teacher at Lansing Catholic High School in 2012.
She has been teaching private violin and viola lessons in the Ann Arbor and Dexter area since 2005, working with students ranging from beginners to advanced players.
An active professional violinist as well, she is a guest performer with the Chelsea Chamber Players and the Dexter Community Orchestra.
