Greetings from Livingston Symphony Orchestra!

Dear Friends of the LSO, We are proud to be a part of this community and we miss making music together as well as providing an opportunity for young string players to develop their skills. We have decided to postpone the launch of our 2020-2021 season until January 2021. The LSO Board considered many options for rehearsals and sent out a survey to all members to gauge their comfort level meeting in person. Ultimately, canceling rehearsals and concerts for the rest of 2020 was the most responsible decision to make. The LSO remains committed to the health, safety, and well-being of our musicians, conductors, and audiences and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates regarding future performances. We are excited to announce that this summer the LSO board was awarded a grant through the Michigan Small Business Restart Program. This grant will help the orchestra continue to stay connected with its musicians, conductors, and audiences during the postponement of the season. Additionally, our goal is to develop virtual get-togethers for all members and potential members during our regular rehearsal time, Mondays at 7 pm, through the direction of the LSO/LYO conductors. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to the LSO. We look forward to the opportunity to perform live music again very soon.
